What an awesome experience— words I’d never use to describe an extraction, bone graft, and implant all in one astonishingly quick , painless, low-stress appointment. The staff helping Dr Sean Ference were all so kind and knowledgeable and Dr Sean himself quite honestly blew me away. I really feel well taken care of. Hated having to have the procedure but these super talented and kind individuals made it so bearable. Highly recommend!

Dr Sean is an amazing doctor. He always goes above and beyond to make sure your procedure is successful. In my particular case, because of health issues, I had to have all of my teeth replaced with dental implants. This required sinus lift surgery and bone grafts. This is a long and arduous process but knowing that Dr Sean is as excited about restoring my smile as I am, makes it less stressful makes all the difference. I would recommend Dr Sean and Capital Region Periodontics to anyone needing oral surgery.

Dr Ferrance explained the surgical procedure very clearly and had patience answering my many questions He helped me to understand that the surgery was necessary and not a difficult procedure I felt much more comfortable and welcome r/t the MD and his numerous staff from the reception area to the dental technicians I would definitely recommend this practice to my family and friends

Timely comfortable

Everyone was so professional and friendly. Dr. Sean put my mind at ease, explained things clearly and so kind taking time with me.

Today Dr. Sean placed my implant after a 3 month healing from a bone graft. Dr. Sean explained the procedure and what to expect when healing. Both the doctor and the office staff are so friendly and competent. They made me feel very comfortable throughout my surgery. Dr. Sean even called me to ask how I was doing after the procedure. This is an excellent practice to take care of all your periodontal care.

The practice was expert and professional. I was surprised that there what I thought might be a painful procedure was not. The entire practice was a great example of professionalism. I would highly recommend the practice. And Dr Ference with whom I dealt. His assistant Iose was terrific as well.

I was referred to this office by my dentist due to concerns about advanced gum disease. I was a 17 year smoker that quit 4 years ago and made it my goal to get my teeth back in order. Dr. Reed reviewed the status of my gum health with me and walked me through my options for procedures to move forward. I decided to go with the LANAP surgery for my whole mouth. Generally done in two sessions, i requested it to be done in one session. It was a long procedure doing it this way but Dr. Reed and those assisting were great at responding to any discomfort I might have had, and took breaks when needed. 2 months later im still in the healing process from the procedure but I can say, without a doubt, that this was the best decision I have ever made for my mouth. There has been some slight recession in areas of my gums and some sensitivity, which is to be expected with this procedure, but my over all oral health has never been so good. No more bleeding, no more food getting stuck in-between my teeth/in my gums, no more pain period. Ive invested in a Sonicare Tooth Brush and WaterPik to support my aftercare and I've found them both incredibly helpful. The toothbrush pulses in 30 second increments to let you know when you should switch each quadrant of your teeth. This has really helped me keep up with post operative oral care , especially when my depression makes it hard to want to get up and go through the motions of caring for my teeth. The office has also been great when it comes to taking time to explain things and respond to any concerns I have, they are calming and caring and it really shows. Overall, i'm very happy with my experience here and would encourage others to undergo the LANAP procedure.

My experience was so pleasant. Everyone made me feel at ease and assured me that I would be fine. Dr. Sean Ference performed the surgery skilfully and calmly, with confident movements that I can only compare to an artist, keeping my pain level to a minimum, considering that he had to cut and drill. CJ, even with my appointment near the end of her work day, spent all the time it took to go over several issues specific to my at-home dental care, including recommendations I hadn't previously know about. I appreciated her focus on my long-term health, not to mention the thorough cleaning she provided. That CJ is also a friendly, nice person only adds to the fact I'll look forward to my next appointment in her chair.

AS a fellow periodontist I consider the Ference practice the premier perio practice of the Capital District. It has the best of both worlds: youth and experience; passion and wisdom. They have all my confidence.

My experience with Dr Reed was excellent as always. I was a bit disappointed with his assistant today. She never introduced herself, and while she was very nice, as her follow up after the procedure was practically non existent. Fortunately, when I asked Praticia a question… she went to get Jose who, as in the past detailed every aspect of the care I should follow until my next appointment. Serious oral surgery due to previous radiation.Seans's knowledge, concern, skill and leading edge everything is thus because what works in the patient's favor is that the attributes I just mentioned are held together by his warmth and genuine concern .The same can be said of DR.Reed.

CJ (RDH) is superb in every way. Educated me while demonstrating the best techniques to keep teeth and gums healthy. What a treasure she is!

Had a few issues with the probe coding of my gums. I think the lidocaine was administered in a not careful way that ended up affecting my tongue and throat. The tech did the probing without waiting for the lidocaine to take affect on my gums, so that was painful. After that, my tongue and throat got so numb I felt like I could t breathe and got very panicky. All in all a very unpleasant experience.

Everyone was very polite. Everything was clearly explained to me. They also filed my insurance claim even though they don’t accept my insurance. I was very happy with the service.

The staff are phenomenal, the care they gave me was exceptional! I was very anxious about the procedure, and everyone was so kind and checked on me constantly. I especially was impressed that Dr. Ference called me the next day to see how I was doing, even though it was a holiday for him. Comfortable and thourogh cleaning by Octavia today. Implants on two molars continue to be wonderful since they were put in last April by Dr. Ference.

I was very impressed with his expertise in performing dental implants. He explained the whole process of installing an implant. I followed the post operative procedures and had no difficulties. I was also very impressed that he called me the evening of the procedure to find out how I was doing and if I had any questions. He was very professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Sean Ference.

Capital Region Periodontics is top notch. Dr. Sean made sure he answered all of my questions and that I was comfortable before my gum graft surgery. He explained what he was doing and ensured I wasn't in any discomfort throughout the procedure. He clearly explained my post-op instructions and made an extra contact with my pharmacy to ensure my script was filled. Following the procedure, my discomfort level was very low and was easily managed with ice packs and an occasional ibuprofen. The surgical sight healed quickly and my gums look and feel better than they have in decades. It's also important to note that not only was Dr. Sean very nice and patient with me, I observed him treat his staff with kindness and respect. Likewise, everyone I encountered at their office was friendly and efficient. Without hesitation, I would recommend Dr. Sean for any periodontal needs.

He's very good at what he does

Since I have been treated by Dr. Ference office, I have the upmost respect for Dr.Ference and his staff. They make you so comfortable and are so friendly. My cleaning today was wonderful!!

I had an extensive procedure done. Dr Sean Ference was informing me what he was doing as he was doing it and was very calming. His assistant was also asking me if needed anything and if I was comfortable. I felt very well taken care of.

I'm one of those anxiety-prone dental patients but everyone at Dr.Ference's practice does their best to make me feel at ease. Also the new text message appointment reminder is definitely a helpful feature
